Drain the chickpeas, rinse them well and place on a large baking tray
Sprinkle the cumin, paprika, chili flakes, pepper and salt over the chickpeas and drizzle the syrup and olive oil over it as well. Shake and stir everything so all chickpeas have a coating of the mixture.
Put into the oven and roast for about 45 minutes or until golden and crunchy
