Instructions
Prepare the pears ideally a day or a few hours before you want to eat your oats. You can eat them warm or cold. Whichever suits you best.
I usually prefer my pears to be poached in red wine but I kind of felt that would be wrong for breakfast (although we could for christmas right?) so I used cranberry juice instead. Cook the pears with the spices until done.
While the pears are cooking you prepare your oats. Put the flakes into a stick blender bowl and blend until you have a fine mixture. Grab a bowl and put the oats in.
Once you're ready to eat, heat your milk and whisk so you have a nice foamy mixture. Add the hot milk to your oats and stir well. Decorate with the pears, pecans, chocolate bits and honey. You can finish by adding a bit of cinnamon over the top.
