A deliciously toasted breadroll with typical smoked sausage, arugula and cheese.
The caramelized onion makes for a sweet and tingy balance in this recipe.
2bake off breads or 1 panini bread
hand of arugula
2slicesof mature cheese
For the caramelized onion:
2tbspred wine vinegar
glaze the sliced onion in a small frying pan withs some butter. After 3 minutes add wine vinegar, balsamic vinegar and sugar. Caramelize the onions in the liquid
Heat the contact grill or a frying pan. Slice the bread roll or panini lengthwise and put the mustard on one half of the bread
Cut the smoked sausage in thin slices (lengthwise) and drape them on the mustard. Dress the sausage with the arugula and cover this with a sheet of cheese slices. At last spoon the caramelized onion on the cheese and finish of with the second half of the bread roll
Put the smoked sausage panini in the grill or your frying pan and toast it for about five minutes
Serve with a fine ketchup or a spoon of the mustard you used earlier.
