Will I be starting by telling you the news first ( don’t get your hopes up, it is not that exciting really!) or should I tell you all about Recipease first?
Ok, ok, I’ll go with the bit of news first, which of course needs a bit of an introduction first. I know I’ve been toying with the idea before and I know a lot of you were not too keen on the idea. So I put it aside and went on with other things…. But it still kind of kept nagging me in the back of my head and now that things are changing a little bit for me on a professional level I feel it is time to make another switch too.

What is this switch you wonder? Well it has got everything to do with the name of my blog. Back when I started 5 years ago, my company name was Junglefrog Images, so picking a name for my blog seemed fairly logical and before I knew it Junglefrog Cooking was born. I love the little frog but… Over the course of the next few years I did start to question my sanity by picking such a name. First of all, it is a bit hard to write with the little stripe in between and long too. But changing a name, whether it is blog or otherwise related is hard… And when I asked a few years back the general consensus was that it should stay Junglefrog Cooking…. But now… I am doing more and more business under my other name Fresh Food Photos. A slightly more logical name when you are talking about food photography and the Junglefrog is used less. A lot less…. Plus, I feel it is time for a ‘rebranding’ so I thought of a new name.

Tom and I sat down one night, with a bottle of wine between us and the iPad on my lap and started thinking of good names. Something to do with food and something to do with photography. And that is frustrating. All the really good names are registered by the big companies so you can buy it from them for ridiculous prices…. So it took quite a while but we came up with a brand new name ; FOOD FRAMEZ. Simones Kitchen It’s short, it’s sweet and it’s to the point I think.
The Food frames with an S was registered (not used) but I didn’t want to spend a huge amount of money and I thought adding the Z instead made it kind of funky too.
So at some point in the future that will be the new name of Junglefrog Cooking. I will be a little sad to end that period but also happy with the new name. I do hope you like it! Let me know what you think too!

There will probably some pro’s and con’s too but hey that’s only natural. It will take a while as I need to figure out how it will all work and to make sure I don’t mess everything up. So more news will follow in due time!

In the meantime I want to tell you about Recipease, the place where we had breakfast nearly every morning when we were in London. I had heard of Jamie’s (Oliver of course) fairly new concept and so when Regula suggested we would meet their for breakfast I was enthusiastic immediately. And what can I say; I love the place. The food is good. Fresh and made on the spot and the shop is fabulous. I just really wish we would get something similar here in the Netherlands so I can buy all those props! My suitcase was too full for that so I had to do with just one or two items.. ;( I did buy the little tray I had my muesli breakfast in! (first photo) I love it!
